The Westmorland Geological Society is based in Kendal and our objectives are to share and develop geological knowledge. Our members have a great range of interests, expertise and ages from beginners to professional geoscientists. We host a winter lecture programme and tutorials on a broad range of geoscience topics. In summer we run a field trip programme exploring the wide range of local geology. We welcome anyone with an interest in geology or the landscape of our beautiful area.
